Florida's larger cities range from dense coastal downtowns to new inland communities still being built out. Every job starts with the same questions: where is the site, what is buried there, what does the owner need, and how will the ground be opened and restored?

Many Florida jobs share a site with other trades. A new commercial pad may need water, sewer, storm and power conduit at the same time, and the order in which they go in matters as much as how each is laid.

Mains and services

Utilities and developers bring us water mains, gravity and force-main sewer and storm collection lines, often together on the same site. Property owners call about the service line or lateral that connects their building.

Crossings

Roads, canals and driveways are frequent obstacles. Directional drilling places pipe or conduit beneath them without opening the surface along the whole route, where the ground and the specification allow.

Exposing existing lines

Hydro excavation uses water and vacuum to uncover buried utilities, so their position and depth are confirmed before other work proceeds.

Sunshine 811 is Florida's notification center under Chapter 556, Florida Statutes. Florida law (section 556.105, Florida Statutes) requires at least two full business days of notice, not counting weekends or holidays, and a ticket is valid for 30 calendar days.
