Mixed sites in one request

Some requests cover several kinds of work at once. A business might need a new water service, a storm repair in its lot and conduit for an electric sign; a homeowner might want a lateral replaced and a downspout drain rerouted while the yard is open anyway.

Combining the work can make sense, because the expensive steps, locating, opening the ground and restoring it, are shared. Planning a combined job means:

• listing each piece of work and its owner's requirements;
• arranging one NC811 locate that covers the whole area;
• exposing existing lines once, with hydro excavation, where any of the new work crosses them;
• ordering the work so that gravity lines are set before pressure lines and conduit;
• restoring the surface once at the end.

Where a combined route passes beneath a drive or a walkway, directional drilling can carry more than one conduit or pipe in the same bore when the specifications allow.

In Kannapolis, we work for homeowners, businesses, developers and public owners.
